NACT YOUTH PROJECT: SHINBI-JUKU!

Since 2022, NACT has been organizing the NACT YOUTH PROJECT: SHINBI-JUKU!, designed to stimulate the artistic expression of young people and develop their ability to take on new perspectives. Shinbijuku can be loosely translated as New Art (shinbi) Cram School (juku), though the first two syllables are also an abbreviated form of the Japanese name of NACT—Kokuritsu SHIN BIjyutsukan. It is a six-month program that was created as a new place where teenagers, can learn the joy of experiencing art and self expression.

Led by an artist, participants engage in a number of activities. The projects have been extremely successful in nurturing the artistic interests of these young people.

Please see NACT YOUTH PROJECT for more information.
