The National Art Center, Tokyo, accepts university students and young researchers as interns each year in order to foster a greater understanding of the Center’s activities and contribute to the development of fresh human resources who will support art museums in the future. In addition to their original specializations, art and art history, interns gain firsthand experience in a wide range of fields including learning program, study and investigation of materials, and public relations. Many former interns are now actively involved in art museums, research institutions, or art-related organizations, where they are contributing to the promotion of art and culture as well as advances in research.
