《戴面具的提线木偶们》

本作与将于翌年出版的《田名网敬一的肖像》一样，均以面孔和身份认同为主题。田名网试图通过媒介将日常看到的不特定多数的面孔刻画为可替换的“假面”，象征性地描绘了当时的现代生活。提线木偶带着各式各样的假面，从绘画风格的笔触，到美式漫画风格的插图，呈现出了多样个性。但信息在社会中急速蔓延，提线木偶被这种速度裹挟，最终变得支离破碎。从可感受到波普艺术直接影响的主题之中，可以窥见作家试图将新的美术潮流也融入到动画中的野心。
